Umair Siddiqui

Umair Siddiqui is a cybersecurity researcher with a unique blend of experiences. After a stint in corporate banking in Northern England, he traded spreadsheets for travel, spending over a decade teaching English in countries like China and Saudi Arabia. This globetrotting adventure not only broadened his horizons but also equipped him with valuable skills in problem-solving and cross-cultural communication, skills he now leverages in his research.

In 2024 after spending a decade as an educator, Umair shifted focus to cybersecurity inspired by the potential to contribute in a constructive way to society, earning certifications like Security+ and CCSK v5. He is currently working on delivering a cybersecurity awareness course for senior directors to bridge the technical knowledge gap. Umair is also authoring a book on CISO strategies, aligning business risks with cyber risks, and influencing boardroom decisions.
